Background

After earning my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biomedical Sciences, I pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Genetics at Kazan Federal University, with a focus on cancer genomics, gene regulation, and bioinformatic genome analysis. I graduated with honors and later joined Dr. Anton Buzdin's lab, where I gained hands-on experience in essential molecular biology techniques, including cloning, CRISPR/Cas9, qPCR, cfDNA isolation, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation.

During my Bachelor’s thesis, I developed a foundation in molecular biology and genetics by investigating the potential association between a 14-bp ins/del mutation in the HLA-G gene and repeat implantation failure in assisted fertilization patients. In my Master’s research, I explored the anticancer potential of novel dehydrozingerone derivatives, utilizing various cancer cell culture techniques such as viability, proliferation, migration analysis, and colony formation assays. Additionally, I conducted molecular and biochemical investigations, including flow cytometry and western blotting, as well as statistical analysis and data organization. My research has focused on understanding the genetic alterations driving oncogenesis and cancer resistance, providing me with a strong background in a wide array of molecular and cellular biology techniques.

Research

In September 2024, I began my PhD at qGenomics Laboratories under the supervision of Dr. Jairo Rodriguez in Barcelona, Spain. My PhD research focuses on investigating the role of JAK/STAT and NFKB signaling pathways in the onset of immune-related preeclampsia. My work involves leveraging chromatin accessibility in cell-free fetal DNA as a molecular biomarker for preeclampsia. Through this project, I aim to deepen my understanding of the genetic and immune mechanisms underlying preeclampsia while contributing to groundbreaking research in genomics and prenatal health. This work will support my long-term goal of advancing innovative genetic research, with a focus on immune-related diseases.
