1st IMMERGE Workshop & Opening Symposium

We are excited to share that the inaugural IMMERGE in-person event took place in November 2024, marking a significant milestone for our project! Over the course of three dynamic days, participants engaged in enriching discussions and collaborative learning.
The event kicked off with an insightful workshop on “Ethics, Gender, and Diversity in Research & Innovation” tailored specifically for our 13 Doctoral Candidates (DCs). This session emphasized the importance of ethics and inclusivity in research.
On November 7th at 17:30, we officially started the Opening Symposium with an engaging lecture by Dr. Stefanie Wculek from IRB (Barcelona). Her talk ‘Linking metabolism and anti-cancer functions of dendritic cells’ inspired and motivated attendees, paving the way for a deeper exploration of these captivating research topics.
The next day, November 8th, supervisors and DCs of IMMERGE showcased their projects and interests. The presentations were enriched by invited lectures from three IMMERGE Scientific Advisory Board members, who shared their invaluable knowledge in immunology.
This event fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange and strengthened the bonds within our IMMERGE Consortium.
